1.       How has Cosplay affected your day to day life?

a.       I get noticed a lot in the weirdest ways. I had someone stop me once at the Mall of America for a picture. It was surreal lol. I have my pictures hanging on the walls of random strangers. It’s really strange to me but it’s humbling to think the work and dedication I’m putting into this craft is bringing joy to others.

2.       How do you decide what you are going to cosplay?

a.       Honestly? A lot of time it’s along the lines of “man I love that character; I’d love to be that person!”

3.       With do you think of “Cosplay Celebrities”?

a.       If it widens the audience, great!

4.       Thoughts on Homemade Cosplay Vs. Commissioned?

a.       The only time I am a stickler about it is during competitions. I think it’s rather shameful when a competitor lies when there are many people who have poured blood sweat and tears into their outfit for the competition. I _never_ compete (unless it’s just for exhibition i.e. just being on stage for fun ^_^) in anything I didn’t personally make. No exceptions. Just walking around and general mayhem though? Makes no difference. If you buy your cosplay I don’t care. We’re all here to have fun!

5.       Do you have a Cosplay “Bucket List”?

a.       Orion Quest, Spike Spiegal, and Grimlock are on it currently ^_^

6.       Who are your favorite Cosplayers?

a.       Honestly? I don’t have a particular favorite. I know way too many to choose!

7.       When it comes to photographs at conventions, when do you think its appropriate and not appropriate for people to ask for photos?

a.       As long as I’m not eating, talking on the phone, resting, etc… it’s perfectly appropriate! Just ask me first so I can pose for you. Taking pictures on the sly makes for a bad photo ;)

8.       If you make your own costumes, where is your favorite place to source materials?

a.       Everywhere and anywhere. You’d be surprised what you can find at the most unusual places!

9.       What are your thoughts on screen accuracy versus artistic interpretation?

a.       Up to the cosplayer entirely.

10.   How much does makeup figure into your overall look?

a.       For me? It’s pretty rare. I used some for Zuko, but generally I’m au natural lol.

11.   Best cosplay trick/tip?

a.       Take. Your. Time.

12.   What would you say are the must-have tools when it comes to making costuming?

a.       That depends on what you’re crafting out of… For me, it’s my sewing machine, my serger, and an infinite amount of patience.

13.   Advice to people just starting out in cosplay?

a.       Have fun and enjoy the ride!

14.   Where can people find you online?
